4.3 billion has been allocated to the Erasmus+ program.

Updated: Oct 14, 2024

With a budget of €4.3 billion for next year, Erasmus+ will continue to support transnational experiences for secondary students, higher education students and vocational education and training. The program also provides opportunities for adult learners, educators and staff, as well as young people in non-formal learning programs.

In order to mitigate the impact of inflation on study abroad participants and to allow for broad participation, the program will increase mobility grant levels. Following the same approach as in the 2023 call, in the 2024 call the individual support grant amounts for study abroad will be adjusted by 5.9% for most mobility actions, with an initial adjustment of 12.27%.

In 2024, the program will offer stronger incentives for sustainable travel. It will be introduced as the default option from 2024, with participants from remote areas, islands or places with inadequate rail networks receiving adequate compensation for using these sustainable travel modes.
